Materializing light
For the past six years, photographer Nik Mirus has been developing a sculptural practice of light by exploring long exposure. This iteration was realized with the help of a robotic arm, whose precision of movement opens up an infinite field of possibilities.

“The challenge with this type of work lies in the endless possibilities. Adding a programmable light tube capable of producing the entire visible colour spectrum and it becomes maddening. Ultimately, the team and I decided to constrain ourselves by keeping the movements simple and geometric.” —Nik Mirus
