Nik Mirus
A short art film featuring the sculptures of David UmemotoNik Mirus pays homage to David Umemoto’s work, “Digital Architecture.” Inspired by the artist’s process and materials, Nik explores the sculpture, transforming flat, inanimate 2D Plexiglas pieces into a dynamic 3D structure that grows, deconstructs and seems to come to life.
BIO
Nik Mirus is a director and photographer who shoots both editorial and commercial projects for a wide array of clients. His work is characterized by a clean, graphic and colourful aesthetic. Whether collaboratively or working alone on personal projects, he enjoys the tactile and constructive aspects of studio-based image making. Through the conceptualization of images, building and lighting sets, he takes great pleasure in constructing images from the ground up. He is based in Montreal, Canada.
