Rose moves around her apartment, from the shower to the bedroom to the kitchen, pacing endlessly and spinning in circles—both physically and in her thoughts, in a never-ending, dizzying dance. How often is it normal to choose to stay home, to lock the door, to roll another joint? Then comes a moment when the answer is clear, when it’s too much, when the sink overflows, when the glass shatters, when it’s time to make the choice to open the door.
