For International Women's Day, Soleil joint Knix in celebrating the instrinsic strength of women. Although the campaign exclusively represents women over 50, it is an ode to women of all ages. Soleil encourages and supports their freedom through the reapproprotion and celebration of the diversity of their bodies, by redefining beauty ideals and expectations, set by the industry. A woman who is getting older should not symbolize failure towards the quest for eternal youth, nor should the grandmother who must take care of others before herself. Women, whatever their age, have their right to exist in their own right. They are not owned by anyone, and have the right to their own happiness and mancipation...Above all: they have the right to love each other without apologizing. Each woman in this campaign therefore embodies with grace and great pride her story, her strength of character, her uniqueness...and her badass spirit!
We want to create a gorgeous and inspiring tribute to the most marginalized part of women’s life : the empowerment of owning unapologetically their bodies in their aging days.
They lifted me with them in their unapologetic confidence, they made me laugh, they complimented eachother, they trusted me...their generosity and openess floored me to my very core. This is the kind of world I want to live in
