For the Canadian cannabis accessories company Tokyo Smoke, Nik Mirus create a dreamy universe where transparency and light intertwine.
I wanted to create a series of pictures that were moody and dark, yet images that were also calming and up lifting at the same time. The themes associated with Tokyo Smoke's products lend themselves well to this type of approach.

I had done the Corey Moranis project as personal creative exploration and the creative team at Tokyo Smoke were looking for something similar in spirit. It's nice when personal creative work inspires clients and leads to commissioned work.

The effect of transparency, colour and light were created using a combination of coloured gels and glass. It's a process that is very flexible and the technique works well with small transparent objects.
