EARTH DAY

EARTH DAY

This project was a 180 from the work we usually do with regard to the aesthetic, the colours, the vibe, the look and feel. We had a go!

We had a lot of fun during production: as much in coming up with the ideas as the filming.

We preferred to capture an emotion in its expression rather than in a still frame. In video, even a 2-3 second sequence allows the emotion to develop whereas in photography, you have to capture the right fraction of a second. One is more theatrical, the other, more subtle and embedded.

It was quite the learning experience, it was the first time we’d done the direction from A to Z.
