Delete was commissioned by Youtheatre and produced alongside Michel Lefevre. The artists wanted to explore the generation gap between children and adults regarding technology. As a result of a study, creators realised that grown-ups born without social media make a distinction between two worlds - virtual and real. In contrast, children combine both and see only one. Delete is displayed in 4 pieces and acts as a metaphor for this universe.
Everything you put in the virtual world makes the virtual world more real.
IREGULAR
A new human. EMERGE is a room about the creation of a new being by combining all the faces in the audience.
IREGULAR
A waterfall of data. COLLECT is a room about the overwhelming amount of information we deal with every day and questions if we are able to process or understand anything.
IREGULAR
A factory of truth. SELECT is about creating new meaning by deconstructing and combining answers provided by the audience. In Part 1, the audience was asked: If you wanted to confirm if someone was a human what will you ask?
IREGULAR
The virtual version of you is you
IREGULAR
A mirror in front of a mirror in front of a mirror. IDENTIFY is a room about looking at your virtual self, one of the multiple profiles you create online and reflects if that is really you or someone else
