Chaussée is a metaphor for the loss of control that happens when the other person is driving and you’re just along for the ride.

I made this clip so that I could try out a lot of new things. I guess it’s normal for a project to go through several changes during editing, until it finally becomes its own entity. You have to strike a balance between having a certain amount of control and letting go.

Alex is a very technical DOP, whereas I’m more emotional. He’s capable of understanding what I want and finding the right tool to make it happen. He helps me perfect my vision.
