It is by looking at the earth from the air that it becomes apparent that our planet is engraved with our marks. Guillaume captures this strange beauty from the Anthropocene era with subtlety and delicacy.
Drone is a tool with a double-edge sword. It allows you to capture grandiose and breathtaking images, but it is easy to get lost in the generalities. I apply the same intransigence to my aerial images as I do with my ground photography. Only conserve what is essential to the story.
I love using the drone against it’s usual functionalities. Make it an anti-tool. Instead of highlighting the whole, I focus on the specifics. Instead of contextualizing, I unsettle with movement and ambiguity. I blur the senses.
