Both my parents are designers and younger, I started to capture some of their projects. But in the end, I was attracted to portraits and fashion. I draw a lot of my ideas by the music world. Artists like Nekfeu, who recently released a documentary to promote his new album, inspire me. I'm currently working on designing a book to promote my work. I develop my business side of things to maintain freedom of expression.
I like to portray the intimacy of right now, to capture the uniqueness of moments by establishing a relationship with my model, to paint the aesthetics of ongoing vibes with faces and lights. From the get go, portraits were only a personal and instinctive exploration. Little by little, it became my thing, if I can say so. There is something so personal about these kinds of pictures. Like the subject is letting us get closer, without using words.
The best thing about traveling is the people you meet. I tend to center them in my creations. They bring places to life and set the vibe. I'm guided by these connexions and aim to capture them with my camera. Some of my best work comes from these magic moments. Strong visuals portraying strong feelings only happen when there's that special exchange between the model and the camera.
