Le Creative Sweatshop is one artist collab I continually am reintroduced to through every new project & commission they do. After being introduced to them back in 2010 with their window project for Italian Store Rinascente, I was compelled by the level of detail & creativity the small team inflicted on their work. It’s clear this is a group of people that work very well together.
Suffering from sheer compelling exposure of their new work ‘Pearl’ for Manaré’s
new E.P. I recovered in reflection of a well-synced, minimalistic set that emphasizes the beauty repetition of many tiny pearls.

Beginning the New Year with a self directed audio/ video collaborative project is a fond way I like to spend the first days of a New Year. Emphasizing body landscapes (literally), we created two scenes depicting winter landscapes and forests with surreal details & paired with specifically created audio. Our small team consists of musicby Skyllark, Photographer Riki Tinoza and assistant Nania Sergi.

Following up my last post before the holidays on Bergdorf Goodman’s 2011 windows ‘ Carnival of Animals’, I was brought to the attention of an interview with Johanna Burke from Burke & Pryde by fellow director, Sylvain Dumais. Composed by Freunde Von Freunden, the article reaches into the personal and work life of Johanna when she is creating the props and set elements for Bergdorf’s windows. Especially in window work, I find it relevant to say that spectators reveal in the fantasy of ones work, forgetting there are person(s) behind such spectacles of imagination. I like this article because it give persona to Bergdorf’s project & makes it apparent that it takes a very particularly trained min to bring a concept into full tangible light.
